Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter Peter Silk - an academic as well as Ilkay Silk - a talented actor who is also a director, writer and producer. Anna was born in Fredericton and is being the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of performances as a kid and watching her mom doing her job. In her early years, Anna played in commercials for a number of companies. Then, in November 1999 Anna made the move to Toronto for the purpose of advancing her acting career. She eventually moving in Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at a Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her husband in 2009. They were married at a civil wedding ceremony in ended in December. They renew their vows during the form of a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton in April of 2011 in the wake of Anna's conversion into Judaism.
