April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball player American She is one of a small number of women who won medals in many Olympics. Ross will compete in Tokyo to compete for her third Olympic medal, along with Alix Klineman, who is a first time Olympian. Ross's objective is her first Olympic gold medal. As she turns 39, it could be her final opportunity to claim an Olympic gold medal. She's still feeling confident but she is not sure. Ross stated to NBC Boston that he believes If they can play at their absolute highest, or play a great game, they'll win the gold. Additionally, I'm going to play a bit of fortunate. Ross is born in the year 1982. Costa Mesa California where she resided with her parents and sister. She went on to compete in a myriad of activities during her time at Newport Harbor High School. She participated in basketball and the track as well as her indoor volleyball achievements as a pre-collegiate athlete. She was clearly the best when it came to indoor volleyball. As a time at the high school level, according to her college biography she played as a middle blocker, outside settingter, and hitter. She was named one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999 for her achievements. Her volleyball skills also earned her an Orange County Athlete of the Awards in 2000. Although Ross and Klineman have been doing their thing from 2017 onward, the former was already an established star on the beach way before they teamed up. She's won big events twice, with various partners. In one of the tournaments, she has become an iconic player in the volleyball world. For six years from 2007-2013 she played together with Jennifer Kessy who more recently worked as Klineman's coach. Alongside Kessy Ross was an active participant in the world circuit, winning the world championship in 2009. In 2012, the pair were awarded silver medals at the London Olympic Games. They were defeated for the gold medal by the storied team consisting of Misty June-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Walsh was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross played in the NCAA tournament with the Trojans of USC prior to the start of her professional career. The Trojans were in high school as well as in the years before going to the beach for professional. In fact, her time at USC was one to remember. When she was a freshman at the school in 2000 she played her way to Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year awards and was an All-American. The Trojans even made it to the Final Four. During her sophomore season, she went through a heartbreaking personal loss, yet she managed to repeat as an All-American. The two seasons she spent as a member of the Trojans, she helped them achieve consecutive championships. She was a superb volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the most outstanding female college volleyball player. Ross studied international relations at USC. Unfortunately Ross mom Margie did not get to see Ross rise to the most elite levels in beach volleyball's acclaim. Margie, Ross's mother, passed away in 2001, when Ross was still at the age of a USC sophomore. It was discovered that she had breast cancer. She is deeply in love with her late parent. Margie is an inspiration while on the beaches and all throughout her life.
