April Ross

April Ross has won more than one medal at the Olympics. She is one of just a handful of female beach volleyball players that have achieved this feat. Alix Kallineman will compete with April Ross at Tokyo for her third gold in the next couple of days. Ross's aim is to get her first Olympic Gold. With her age of 39, it may be Ross' last chance to win an Olympic gold medal. But she is confident that the top honours will be in reach. If we perform at our very best or even if we play really well, I believe we'll be able to win that gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. Also, I'll take some chance. Ross was born in 1982 and was raised within Costa Mesa California with her sisters and parents, was the first to begin taking part in athletics at the Newport Harbor High school. Ross participated in various sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. Apart from playing indoor volleyball, she also played tennis and also jogged track when she was a pre-professional athlete. As a finalist in her sport, she clearly stood out. As a college volleyball years in her college biography she played as an outside blocker, middle blocker setter and hitter. She was named in the category of Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999 for her achievements. In addition, she was awarded the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are performing their duties from 2017. The reality is that Ross was an already a well-established athlete in the world of beach volleyball prior to this pairing. She was a winner of several major championships while playing with two different teams, one of which was the volleyball legend. She partnered up with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and also as the Klineman's assistant and Kessy's coach. Together together with Kessy Ross, the duo won the World Championship in 2009 while competing on the international circuit. They took home a Silver medal from the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. They were beaten out for the gold by the famous team consisting of Misty June-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor decided to retire. They took home the bronze medal in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics in 2016. In high school and the some time before hitting the sand in her professional career, Ross made her debut for the USC Trojans as an collegiate. Ross's playing time with the Trojans was outstanding. It was her time to be an All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of Year in 2000. Furthermore, she assisted her Trojans in reaching the Final Four. The Trojans suffered a heartbreaking personal loss during her sophomore year however she was able to return her place as an All-American. The last two years within the team, she guided the Trojans up the mountain netting multiple national championships. In her own way Ross established her status in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award went to the best female collegiate athlete in the nation. Ross majored in international relations at USC. Margie Ross never saw her daughter reach the top of the field in volleyball. Ross suffered the loss of the breast cancer that she battled in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. She continues to hold her lost parent near and close. Margie continues to be an inspiration on the beach and in all her lives.
