April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball star American She is one of a small number of women who won medals in several Olympics. Alix Kallineman will play alongside April Ross in Tokyo for her third gold medal in the next couple of days. But more than that, Ross wants to secure the first Olympic gold. In fact, at 39, this could be her last opportunity to do so. She's still feeling confident, however. Ross was born August 22nd, 1982 located in Costa Mesa California. She resided there with her family. She was able to participate in many activities during her time at Newport Harbor High School. Being a pre-athlete, she was also a participant in indoor track and volleyball. In her final game she stood out. During her high school career she played middle blocker outside setting and hitter on the volleyball court, according to her college bio. The award was presented to her as one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999 due to her accomplishments. Her volleyball skills also earned her the Orange County Athlete of the Award in the year 2000. While Ross and Klineman are a couple from 2017 onward, the former was already a big-time star on the beach long before their pairing. She actually won multiple major tournaments with two other partners, one that is also famous for her volleyball skills. In the period 2007-2013 she played along with Jennifer Kessy who more recently was Klineman's coach. Alongside Kessy Ross was an ace on the international circuit winning a world title in 2009. They also won the Silver Medal at the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty Maytreanor's famous team along with Kerri Jennings won the gold. Ross became Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. The duo went on to earn the beach volleyball bronze during the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. Following high school, and for a few many years before hitting the sand in her professional career, Ross made her debut to the USC Trojans in her first season as university. Ross's time in the Trojans was one of the best. In 2000, as a freshman she fought her way to Pac-10 and NCAA The Freshman of the Year recognition and earned an All-American. The Trojans were also able to make it to the Final Four. During her sophomore year she experienced a devastating personal loss, yet she managed to repeat as an All-American. For her two final years, she took the Trojans to the top of the hill to win consecutive national titles. In her own way, she had established her place as a legend receiving the 2003-04 Honda Sports Award as the highest ranked female volleyball player. Ross was an International Relations major at USC. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter achieve the heights of the field in volleyball. Margie, Ross's mother, passed away in 2001 when Ross was still an USC sophomore. The cancer was diagnosed as breast. She continues to hold her lost parent near and dear. and Margie continues to be an energy for her on the beach as well as in everyday the world of.
