April Ross
April Ross has won more than one gold medal in the Olympic Games. She is one of just a handful of female beach volleyball players to be able to do so. Ross will compete in Tokyo in her third Olympics medal, along with Alix Klineman, a first time Olympian. Ross hopes to win more than just her first Olympic medal. This may be the last chance she'll ever have when she turns 39. But she's convinced that the top awards are within reach. Ross Klineman joined her collaboration in the year 2017, however, Ross has been a prominent player on the beach long before. From 2007 to 2013 she was in a partnership with Jennifer Kessy, who is her current coach. Together, Kessy Ross was an ace on the international stage, claiming one of the biggest titles in the world in 2009. In 2012, the duo received silver at the Olympic Games. They were knocked out of the gold by the famous team consisting of Misty June-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor decided to retire. In 2016, the pair were awarded bronze medals at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. After graduating from high school and a couple of some time before hitting the sand in her professional career, Ross made her debut to the USC Trojans in her first season as an NCAA. Ross lost her mother to breast cancer in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. She holds her mom very dearly. and Margie has always been an motivation for her at the beach as well as in everyday her daily life.
