Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting profession after she enrolled at Stanford University. The first time she was recognized for her work, it was with performances in films like Pleasantville and Election however it was her role as Elle Woods in the box office hit Legally Blonde that marked a turning point for her career. Her role on Walk the Line earned her an Academy Award nomination in 2005. From there she would go on to make appearances on a range of shows on television, including House of Lies Whitney and Better Call Saul. The credits on her film resume are The Dictator, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and The Dictator. A talented painter, she has also exhibited in several galleries.
